Notes:
She was used as a blockade runner between January 1864 and May 1864, making two successful runs; Feb 12th 1864, to Wilmington North Carolina out of Nassau, returning on March 1st; and one failed one.
A note about her Confederate captain:
(Bermuda History Quarterly Vol. 19, no 1, 1962) 31 Mar 1864, steamer "Caledonia/Caledocia" left here for Wilmington, commanded "by Capt Libbey, a new man, a Southerner."

However he did not prevail: on the 30th of May 1864, whilst attempting her third run, Caledonia was captured by the Keystone State and the Massachusetts, whilst trying to enter Wilmington, North Carolina.
